Welcome to our calendar page. Join us in spreading the news that agriculture is a vital industry in our county. Highlighted events on our calendar include:
- Annual Food Check-Out Day: According to the US Department of Agriculture, it takes only five weeks for the average American family to earn enough disposable income to purchase their food supply for an entire year. The Farm Bureau marks this fact in the first week of February by delivering groceries donated by the Farm Bureau to the Ronald McDonald House in Tallahassee. We also prepare lunch for the Ronald McDonald House staff and farm bureau members. The event is always well-publicized, and state representatives and congressmen attend.
- Farm Bureau Day: This event is held in March at the Leon County Civic Center to raise awareness of legislative issues regarding Florida farming.
- Farm City Week: The President of the Farm Bureau speaks at this event, which involves local commissioners, state representatives and congressmen.
- North Florida Fair: Board members take this opportunity to educate the public about the importance and abundance of food grown here in Florida.
